Internationalisierung
Internationalization is one of the lines of action that are at the heart of the strategic development of Leuphana University. Central goals are the strategic expansion of international partnerships, the development of international networks in research and teaching, the increase in student and staff mobility, and the internationalization of curricula and modules as part by way of "Internationalization at home".
The International Center, which reports to the Vice President responsible for internationalization, supports and shapes the internationalization processes at a central level.
Strategic goals and actions for internationalization were first developed in 2007. After completing the HRK audit "Internationalization of Universities” in 2012/13, a new internationalization strategy was developed, taking into account the HRK experts' recommendation report, and included in the university's development plan 2016-2025 adopted by the Senate. As part of the restructuring of the department and with a view to the future, the strategic priorities are currently being reassessed and further elaborated.
