admission procedure
Application requirements are met:
- Your documents meet the formal application requirements.
- Uni-Assist informs Leuphana University of Lüneburg about this (this is not yet an admission).
- The Leuphana University of Lüneburg will check your documents according to content quality criteria.
- The Leuphana University of Lüneburg will inform you in this main procedure whether it can offer you a place.
- If, after the main procedure in the Bachelor's and Master's degree programs, places are still available, these can be awarded in backlog procedures or at the beginning of lectures by drawing lots.
- If you do not receive admission or do not accept the place, you must apply again via Uni-Assist in the next application procedure, provided you are still interested in a study place.
For Bachelor applications for the 1st semester applies:
Applications from countries outside the EU and the EEA
- 5% of the study places are available for applicants from these countries with a foreign university entrance qualification (special quota). The selection procedure in this quota is exclusively based on the average grade of the university entrance qualification.
Applications from countries of the EU and the EEA
- Applicants from these countries with foreign university entrance qualifications will be considered in the main quota.
- The following admission procedure applies to these applicants:
The allocation of study places for this group of applicants is 90% by qualification and 10% by waiting time.
Two levels are assigned to the admission criteria by qualification:
- Level 1:
- Grade point average of the university entrance qualification and- special extracurricular achievements more
Applicants have the opportunity to improve their point rank in the award process by providing evidence of extracurricular achievements. For this purpose, the appendix in the application for admission must be completed and appropriate supporting documents must be attached.
Stage 2:
- Result in the study ability test more
or
- Result in the selection interview more
For bachelor's applications to a higher semester:
- In the higher semesters, only study places that have become free will be awarded according to a regulated ranking and by lot, in accordance with the ordinance.
Application requirements are not met:
- Your documents do not meet the formal application requirements.
- Uni-Assist will inform you of this.
- Your documents will remain with Uni-Assist for one year.
- If you are still interested in a place at university, you may have to apply in the next application procedure with new evidence via Uni-Assist.
Whereabouts of your data and documents:
In case you do not enroll at Leuphana University of Lüneburg, your application documents can only be kept at Uni-Assist for one year. After the end of the year, the documents will be destroyed. In general, your documents cannot be returned to you. Your data will be stored in the computer at Uni-Assist for four years and then destroyed. During this period, you will only be made available to Uni-Assist and the universities you have chosen.
