Semester re-registration

If you want to continue your studies at Leuphana University Lüneburg in the next semester, you have to re-register. It is mandatory for you to be enrolled in order to provide services and take examinations.

Re-registration is only possible within the re-registration period. For the

  • January/February for the summer semester and in
  • winter semester in June/July.

The exact dates can be found on the information box in your student documents or on the homepages of the schools. In addition, all registered students will receive a request for re-registration by email (only your Leuphana email will be contacted here).

Transfer of the semester fees

With the timely receipt of the semester fee on the account of the Leuphana University of Lüneburg the re-registration takes place. By paying the amount, you declare that you wish to continue your studies. The date of receipt of payment on the account of Leuphana University of Lüneburg counts, the so-called value date. Please make sure that the correct amount is transferred and that the purpose of use is stated correctly and completely. Transfer the due semester fee to the

Within 14 days you will receive your student ID card in the post. This completes the re-registration process.

At the end of your studies

  1. You are completing your studies and re-registration is no longer necessary: Inform us by applying for de-registration, preferably already during the re-registration period.
  2. You only have to complete one examination (submission of the Bachelor's or Master's thesis or the examination interview is an examination) in the new semester and thus end your studies: re-register and submit the application for exmatriculation within one month after the start of lectures at the latest, returning your student ID. You will then be refunded the fees you have paid..
