This process works best when the information you provide is as clear as possible. If you are filling out this form for the first time, please read the instructions first.

The video editors also upload externally produced films to the YouTube channel and make them available for integration on the Leuphana homepage, provided they meet certain criteria regarding copyright, etc. Generally applies:

• Leuphana or the applicant must hold all rights of use for the publication of the sound and image material shown (sound/video/image - including images in a shown PowerPoint presentation, etc.).
• The applicant is responsible for the published contents!
• The quality of the contents will be checked by the video editors.

We will inform you or contact you if anything is unclear.

We have prepared a consent form here, but please adapt it to your project and have it checked by the data protection officer!

The video editing team will be happy to answer your questions and suggestions!

• If outside material is used (e.g. music or movie/TV clips), you must have publication permission from the copyright owner.
• Since outside material is automatically identified online, and Leuphana could be charged with the fees of publication, please attach the copyright license as a PDF so that we can quickly resond to any copyright claims. If there is a copyright claim and we have not received a license, the video will be deleted.
• The video will be easier to find via online search when you submit possible search terms and a list of keywordst (tags) for the video description.

• We need information regarding the usage rights for all copyright-protected elements such as music, animations, graphics, etc. (e.g. for music: artist/song title/license - for example, creative commons).
• Only submit fnished videos (no further edits, texts, etc. will be made). Title templates for Final Cut ProX can be provided upon request.
• HD quality (if possible)
• Format: standard video forms, e.g. mp4, mov, coded in h264
• Metadata should be included in the video data (editor must choose this in the settings before export)

Video files can be uploaded to http://myshare.leuphana.de on the Leuphana Intranet. Please paste the download link into this form. You can also send us the link via email afterwards.

Description of video content
Begin by pasting the link to your Leuphana webpage, starting with "http://www.leuphana.de/..." and then write a few sentences about the topic of the video. Why should visitors watch the video? What is special about the video?

Search terms (tags)
Which terms are visitors searching for on YouTube, when they are looking for your video? When visitors perform general searches, which search terms should lead to your video as a result?

Usage rights
Is there music in the video? Then please provide the artist, song title, and type of license!
Even with a Creative Commons license, you usually have to provide the creator/artist, title/song title, and type of license. If you have purchased the usage rights for the music, please specify this and submit the license as a PDF so that we can quickly respond to any copyright claims from YouTube.

Type of publication & embedding on the Leuphana website

• Leuphana website and Leupahan's YouTube channel (recommended!)
  This option provides the widest distribution by making your video publicly accessible via search engines and YouTube search (see www.youtube.com/leuphana). All subscribers to the Leuphana YouTube channel will receive a notification about your video.
• Leuphana website (and not listed on YouTube)
  Publicly available for visitors of the Leuphana website and via search engines that link to your Leuphana webpage, but not directly accessible via YouTube/Google search.
  Example of use: longer videos such as lectures and events
• Only on Leuphana Intranet
  For Leuphana students, employees, teachers, guests, etc.
  Example of use: lectures, project work

If you want the video embedded on the Leuphana website, please provide the Page-ID (if not available, then the URL) and the position on the page. If you are a Typo3 Editor at Leuphana, then plae an invisible text element with the title "VIDEO PLACEHOLDER."

• Ideally, video files are transferred to us via myshare (login with Leuphana account).
• Transfer of video files via USB/CD/DVD is also possible.
