Footage
For the video production, many video sequences are needed that show an impression of the campus/ community/ processes/ etc.. Two different types of footage (material collections) are available for this.
In future, the Canva system will also be available for social media contributions (University Communication graphic).
However, the system is currently still in preparation and information is not yet available.
In Leuphana Footage we have material created by members or agents on campus during specific productions that can be released for general use for Leuphana productions or for release to productions "about Leuphana", e.g. television productions.
To do this, you currently need to contact the video editorial team at University Communications and make a specific request at videoredaktion@leuphana.de .
The footage with people depicted is being rebuilt - this will take a while. Above all, the necessary legal regulations are slowing down the process.
The Leuphana video department has a licence for stock footage. Stockfootage is externally produced general non-Leuphana related footage that anyone can license.
So far, we have discouraged the use of stock footage because it is usually easy to recognise that the material does NOT come from Leuphana Campus, i.e. the footage/productions are NOT AUTHENTIC, i.e. not credible.
However, there are some sequences that can work,
- if they are kept relatively neutral, e.g. a young woman taking a selfie in a city where only some skyscraper peaks can be seen in the background.
- Detail shots e.g. pen/ paper/ notebook/ looking up into trees/ etc.
Such sequences can be used in productions if the quality differences in the combination with your own authentic shots allow it.
