News is Leuphana's shop window. Wherever they appear - on the homepage, in social media, in links - they allow the public an insight into the many interesting aspects of the university. In the news, Leuphana reports on events that are relevant to the public, such as new professors, new or reoriented study programmes, successful research projects, national and international guests of honour, committed students or special achievements in the cultural, artistic, social or sporting fields.

Every university is dependent on external support. The first task of the news is therefore to encourage participation: "I would like to study here!", "I would like to do research at this university!", "This would be a good partner for cooperation and funding!". Other tasks of the news are information and community building. News, which is primarily aimed at the non-university public, can be found on the Internet. News that is primarily aimed at the internal university public can be found on the intranet. Selected news items are highlighted with a teaser on the Leuphana homepage and the news headers of the institutions.

If you have an idea for a news item or an interesting interview partner, please let us know. The text editorial team also provides support for all other high-profile texts, on websites, in print products and on social media.
