Werkverträge

You will find all important information on applying for and executing contracts for work and services below.

General information

In a contract for work and services (§§ 631 et seq. BGB), an entrepreneur owes the customer (in this case the university) the production of a work, i.e. the achievement of a certain result. The subject of typical work contracts at universities can be, for example, analyses or translations. For this service/work, the contractor receives a remuneration for the work. As a "work manufacturer", however, he/she is not socially insured by the university.

When awarding work contracts, please note that no work contract can be concluded with employees of the university. It is then a question of an increase in working hours.

Our colleagues in the Human Resources Department will be happy to advise you on legal questions and the content of contracts for work and services.
