New publication possibilities for research results with DOI on PubData
2023-06-12
Dear sir or madam,
Dear colleagues,
We are pleased to inform you about the newest extension module of PubData, Leuphana’s repository for your academic results and products (https://pubdata.leuphana.de). In addition to the current research data module, PubData now provides the option to submit and publish so-called “alternative publication formats“ defined as objects and materials that have been created as part of research, teaching and studying activities at Leuphana. Examples would be videos, podcasts, blog posts, teaching and learning materials, lecture notes, posters, presentations, and much more.
The repository intends to maximise the visibility of Leuphana’s diverse output in the spirit of Open Science. Therefore, all submitted alternative materials are published Open Access, i.e. they are made available worldwide free of charge under regulated licensing conditions. In addition, a DOI (Digital Object Identifier) is assigned for each publication to ensure the object’s permanent findability and citeability. Access is granted via the PubData catalog including search functions. Besides, the metadata is provided to cross-referencing catalogue systems, databases and search engines for the benefit of increased reach and resonance.
University members can submit their materials independently by using the personal Leuphana account. Student publications are also welcome and can be published with a recommendation from their respective reviewers or lecturers.
So did you present exciting research findings at the last conference, design supportive course materials for teaching or express insights in a podcast? Then take advantage of our publication service! Promote Open Science, the reuse and reproduction of knowledge. Share your content worldwide under regulated and professional conditions.

PubData is operated and continuously developed by MIZ. In the near future, PubData will also offer the possibility of first or parallel publication of open-access literature publications (e.g. books, journal articles or university theses), followed by the development and establishment of an interface to the current research information system Pure.
