Information about construction work on campus
2023-07-10 Lüneburg. The Building Management informs about current and planned construction work on campus that may cause noise or lead to restrictions and asks for your understanding for possible inconveniences.
Laying of cables
Electrical supply lines
Electrical supply lines are currently being renewed in the eastern part of the campus. For this purpose, construction work will take place on the road between the University Library and Building 10 for about two weeks from 10 July. Since the concrete ceiling will have to be opened to make the cable ducts, there will be an unfortunately noisy use of a concrete saw. Consideration will be given to examination periods and selection procedures, which will take place from 17 July onwards, during the work.
Further civil engineering works will then follow on the roads between buildings 10 and 12, 14, 15 and 16. A schedule of the works up to 10 September can be found here..
Rainwater and wastewater pipes
On August 7, the construction project "Rehabilitation of storm and waste water lines" will resume on the eastern part of the campus. In this context, areas for the storage of materials will be required. These areas will be set up in parking lots P1 and P4 and are expected to be needed until early December.
You can view the exact location of the areas here.
Renovation of the multi-storey car park
Structural defects make it necessary to extensively renovate the P 3 multi-storey car park (north of the refectory) in the coming months. For this purpose, the building will be closed from 31 July. Users should then switch to the other car parks.
The car park will be scaffolded. Rubble containers with chutes will be used to remove demolition material.
During the closure of the multi-storey car park, which is expected to last until autumn 2024, the Konrad bicycle self-help workshop and the technical department of the building management will be housed on the ground floor of Building 9.
