Shutdown Alfresco

Dear Colleagues,

The MIZ has been operating the enterprise content management system (ECM system) Alfresco (https://ecm.leuphana.de) since 2015. At Leuphana, the system is used for document management, versioning and access control via so-called "sites".

Due to the introduction of new and additional services such as Academic Cloud Sync&Share or M365 with OneDrive in the meantime, the functionalities are duplicated, so that the MIZ intends to shut down Alfresco on August 4, 2023. Also considering the DMS project (introduction of the document management system d.velop documents), the further operation of Alfresco will become obsolete.

We have directly informed the so-called "site managers" about the shutdown of Alfresco and asked them to transfer their content. If you are actively working with Alfresco and are involved in a "site", please contact the "site manager" and determine together which of the alternative solutions should be used in your team in the future. Beyond that, please do not start any new "Sites" in Alfresco.
