Changes to the telephone system

Dear Ladies and Gentlemen,
Dear colleagues,
our previously existing ISDN telephone connections at the Universitätsallee, Rotes Feld and Volgershall campus locations have been terminated by Telekom. The DSL technology now in use allows for considerably more outgoing calls, so that restrictions in the number of connections that can be made are no longer to be feared.
Unfortunately, however, the new technology currently does not transmit the call numbers of the external caller in the case of call diversions and instead displays the number of the called house connection. Some of you will already have noticed this.
We are currently working on a clarification of the question whether the forwarding of the call number of an external call cannot be realised after all. If necessary, please use the answering machine function of your university telephone to tell callers at which number you can be reached directly.
