Dear colleagues
The year 2022 is coming to an end, with holidays and the turn of the year soon to come. This is the time when companies and people with whom you have and have had dealings in the course of your work often want to thank you for your cooperation.
Unfortunately, in individual cases it is overlooked that the legal regulations for the public service leave only a very limited scope for the acceptance of attentions. In principle, we are all subject to a ban on accepting rewards and gifts.
There is a basic exception with a value limit of 10 €/year per giver, here there is a blanket authorisation. A brief overview of the regulations is attached to this email as well as the decree.
The validity of the decree was extended until 31.12.2024 with the Gem. RdErl. of the MI, the State Chancellery and the other ministries of 18.08.2022 - MI-Z 2-1303102/31.002.
I am also using this circular to distribute the leaflet from the Lower Saxony Ministry of the Interior and Sport, which deals with the issue in a little more detail.
