Renewal of lift systems delayed
2022-12-01 Lüneburg. Work on the renewal of the lift systems in buildings 7 and 10 is progressing. However, the completion dates planned for December of this year will unfortunately not be met. The reason for the delay is a capacity bottleneck at the responsible testing organisation, Dekra. They have informed the University that the lifts cannot be inspected until the 51st calendar week.
Only when a positive result of this inspection is available in writing can the further necessary steps for commissioning the lift systems take place. As a result, the new lift systems will probably not be available for use until the 3rd calendar week of next year.
The facility management regrets this development and asks for your understanding for the delay.
