Inspection of steps (roll-up steps, step stools, etc.) and ladders

Dear colleagues,
Accidents involving steps (elephant feet, step stools, etc.) and ladders can lead to serious injuries. Steps and ladders must therefore be regularly checked for safety. We offer you an inspection of your steps and ladders from 04.03.2024 to 06.03.2024. We rely on your help for this:
1.
Please mark your steps/ladders permanently with the "Building.room number" of the place of use/storage. If there are several steps/ladders in a room, please add a letter to the labelling consecutively; e.g. C10.010.A. This labelling is required for the assignment of the test report, for return and for finding in future tests.

a) Buildings C1, C4, C5, C6, C7, C8, Wilschenbrucher Weg: Please place the steps/ladders visibly in the main corridor in front of your room by 10:00 a.m. on Monday, 4 March 2024.
b) Buildings C10, C11, C12, C13, C14, C16: Please place the steps/ladders visibly in the main corridor in front of your room by 08:00 on Tuesday, 05 March 2024.
c) Buildings CHS 5, C25, C27, C41: Please place the steps/ladders in the entrance area of lecture theatre CHS5 on Tuesday, 5 March 2024, between 13:00 and 14:00.
d) Central Building: Please place the steps/ladders in room C40.110 on Wednesday, 06/03/2024 by 08:00.
e) Buildings C20, C21, C22: Please make the steps/ladders available for testing on Wednesday, 6 March 2024, by 10:00 a.m. in Building 21.
f) I will coordinate the inspection of the steps/ladders of the building management and the library directly due to the high number.

After testing, the steps/ladders will be returned to the rooms by building services in accordance with the labelling. Steps/ladders that have not been tested or have not been tested positively may no longer be used.
