Keep your English fluent and strengthen your skills in this online course. 

You will join a small group in a Zoom meeting to discuss a new topic every session. Topics can be chosen by the group, with themes relating to higher education or other issues relevant to the group. 

The sessions will let you practice discussing and reporting ideas and giving and responding to opinions. We will also do some roleplays. Weekly preparation will usually be a short text to read or a podcast. We will review some key intermediate grammar, and homework will be optional extra practice.

Participants from previous courses are most welcome. Each participant’s grammar and speaking level will be assessed and individual feedback will be given.  

Sigrid Pearson is a fully trained and highly experienced teacher of English as a foreign language, and a native speaker of both UK and American English. Specialising in English for academic purposes and business English, she has taught and coached in international language schools, businesses and universities in London, Hamburg, Berlin, Freiburg and Lüneburg.
